EuroFPL to Sunset December 31, 2026

April 27, 2026

After more than seventeen years of serving the global aviation community, Kenmore Crew Leasing, Inc. has made the decision to sunset EuroFPL with a target end-of-service date of December 31, 2026. We've had the privilege of working alongside an extraordinary cross-section of aviation; supporting the likes of ferry pilots, charter operators, flight schools and flying clubs, air ambulance services, humanitarian missions, military and law enforcement units, executive flight departments, offshore operators, aerial surveyors, demo teams, independent planners and dispatchers, single aircraft owner-operators...and app developers who integrated our FPL addressing and message transmission capabilities into their own pilot-assisting toolsets.

What began in 2009 as a focused European IFPZ filing solution grew into something we're tremendously proud of, and wish we could support ad infinitum. However, the realities of running EuroFPL have shifted over the years with an increasing share of the work becoming reactive; trying to keep pace with third-party data vendors, simply keeping the lights on and maintaining the status quo instead of being able to elevate our capabilities and infrastructure to a level our users deserve. At the same time, the scope of our primary business as Shepherd Aero has evolved immensely, and stepping back from EuroFPL allows us to regroup on technical client-facing programs where we believe we can deliver greater long-term value.

We're announcing this now to give account holders and integration partners roughly eight (8) months to evaluate alternatives and plan transitions at a pace that suits their operations. Between now and the end of the year, EuroFPL will continue to operate normally while we wind things down in stages. We'll publish regular updates covering what's changing and when, including decisions about new account registrations, specific feature deprecations, and data export options for users who want to retain their records. Our goal is no surprises: if something is going away, you'll hear about it well in advance on this page. Please contact EuroFPL Support, as always, by email to support@eurofpl.eu if you have any questions about this sunsetting, or require assistance with our site and other services.

Thank you so much,

- Derek
